So you’ve moved to Denver for work, and you’ve noticed that everyone seems to be extremely fit. Maybe it’s the elevation, maybe it’s the 300 days of sunshine–but either way, you want to join (or stay) in the club. Staying healthy as an office worker can be tricky due to time constraints, but where there’s a will, there’s a way.
We’ve got 5 quick workout options that will get you burning calories and back to work with time enough to eat your lunch.

CycleBar: 45min noon cycling class
This recently-opened spin studio just might be what your sluggish, 9-5 body needs to snap back into shape. This 12:00 pm class is perfectly positioned to get you in and out during your lunch break without (…with?) breaking a sweat. Whether you’re a seasoned spinning vet or a complete newbie, they’ll get you on a bike and peddling in no time.

Denver Bouldering Club
If you’ve ever been curious about climbing, a friendly neighborhood indoor climbing gym is the place to start. You’ll leave with sore forearms, calloused feet, and a burning passion to solve that one bouldering problem you just couldn’t get the first time. It’s healthy and addictive all at once, and can be a great way to work the muscles that’ve been sitting idle in the office. Just remember to wash the chalk off your hands before shaking the CEO’s.

Cherry Creek Trail/Cherry Creek State Park
The Cherry Creek runs north/south through the Denver Metro area, starting at the Cherry Creek Reservoir and ending at Confluence park downtown. Us Denverites don’t get to see a ton of water in our day-to-day lives, so heading down to the reservoir during lunchtime could be an easy way to lift your spirits and your heart rate simultaneously. The trail runs around the entire reservoir–so squeeze in as many miles as you can before it’s back to the desk. And if you’re feeling adventurous, you can’t take a quick dip in the swimming hole area!

Belleview Park
Sometimes being a responsible adult in the office can leave you in the mood for some youthful fun. Belleview Park in Littleton offers a fix in the form of batting cages, a petting zoo, and even a small water park. If you’re lucky enough to be able to bring your dog to work with you, the park has a “Canine Corral” where you can give your buddy a place to meet other dogs and get some exercise of its own. If a walk is all you’re looking for, a beautiful trail makes a perimeter around Belleview Park and will give you just enough of a jaunt to get you back at your desk by 1pm.

Body-weight workouts in your office
For those who value time and efficiency over all else, the classic conference-room-workout is king. While your coworkers head down the street for Chipotle, head to an abandoned conference room or back office and get your workout in. Push ups, sit ups, planks and leg lifts will have you feeling accomplished and deserving of the sandwich you brought from home. It might not be glamorous, but function over form, right?
