Trans-Atlantic Cluster Initiative Recap
Denver South’s Managing Director of Corporate Engagement, Lauren Masias, was recently part of a U.S. delegation to Bavaria, Saxony and Lower Saxony on smart e-mobility. The delegation was sent for by the Cabinet-level German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy to convene with other thought leaders and industry experts to establish partnership opportunities and transform transportation and automotive offerings into mobility solutions.
During the 6-day trip, delegates traveled throughout Germany to interface with academic institutions (e.g. Technical University of Munich), automakers (e.g. BMW, Volkswagen), supply chain leaders (e.g. Thyssenkrupp) and local economic development authorities as well as others (e.g. Invest in Bavaria, Catalonian e-mobility delegation, Bayern Innovativ, Automotive Cluster Saxony, Saxony Economic Development Corporation).
In addition to establishing relationships abroad, a multitude of individuals from within the U.S. were also in attendance. On the trip were delegates from Silicon Valley, the greater Chicago area, the Ann Arbor and Michigan areas as well as representation from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).
