Ten Colorado companies — one more than last year — have been named to the annual Fortune 500 list of the nation’s largest public and private corporations.

The ranking, published Monday, is based on 2015 revenue.

Once again, Arrow Electronics Inc. holds the top spot among Colorado-based businesses on the 2016 list and moved up several spots in the national ranking. This year it comes in at No. 119, up from No. 131 last year and No. 138 the year before.

Centennial-based Arrow (NYSE: ARW) posted 2015 revenue of $23.3 billion and profit of $500 million, Fortune says.

The global electronics company has been the highest ranked Colorado company since 2012.

And the new Colorado company in the Fortune 500 is Envision Healthcare Holdings Inc., at No. 469, with its revenues boosted by recent mergers. The Greenwood Village-based emergency transport and physician services company posted 2015 revenue of $5.4 billion and profit of $140 million.

Of the 10 Colorado businesses on this year’s list, four are clustered around the intersection of Interstate 25 and E-470 in Douglas County (with Englewood mailing addresses), two each are based in Broomfield and Greenwood Village, and one apiece are in Denver and Centennial.
