It’s that time of year again: the 2026 Commuter Survey is live. We want to hear from you: how do you get around the Denver South region, and what matters most when it comes to employee benefits?
Each year, Denver South connects with the local workforce and employers to better understand how people travel to work – whether that’s by car, light rail, bike, bus, or on foot – and what benefits help make those commutes a little smoother.

Each year, the survey helps us uncover valuable insights about commuting trends and workplace benefits. For example, last year, we learned:
- The average one-way commute rose to 19.5 miles, up from 14 miles two years ago, indicating that workers are traveling from a wider geography to access opportunities throughout the corridor.
- Respondents reported living in Douglas County (34.8%), Arapahoe County (26.9%), Denver County (18.5%), Jefferson County (10.3%), and other areas across the metro region.
- With many organizations settling in to hybrid work schedules, the data showed an average of one day a week remotely.
