On June 27, 2018, Coloradans hopped on their bikes and headed to work. From cruisers to road bikes, fat tires to unicycles, people arrived in droves to official Bike To Work stations for breakfast, coffee and fresh water.
Over 200 cyclist stopped by the Denver South Station held at Arapahoe at Village Center Station where riders were treated to a pancake breakfast from Flippin Flapjacks and coffee from Regis University.
Participants were also signing petitions for Let’s Go, Colorado!, a statewide initiative supporting ongoing, long-term funding for transportation projects addressing major projects on I-25, I-70 and the state highways that connect our communities as well as multimodal options. Greenwood Village was collecting responses to a survey on future transportation plans.
It was a beautiful morning for a ride, and whether it was 2 miles or 20 miles, we were excited to see so many riders out and about. And if you missed it, it’s not too early to mark your calendar for next year: Wednesday, June 26!
