Was one of your New Year’s resolutions to be more adventurous? Looking for ways to break up the winter months without driving up to the mountains? Just want to have a little fun? Denver South has plenty of opportunities to “live it up” and here are just a few options to get your heart rate up and find a little adventure (at least for an afternoon):
SNÖBAHN: Have you been looking to brush up on your skiing or snowboarding skills before the mountains get the big spring snowstorms? SNÖBAHN, located in Centennial, offers you the chance to ski or snowboard indoors, no matter what level you are. The speed and pitch can be changed based on your experience and the surface actually feels like snow! Check out snobahn.com to see how you can hit the slopes without getting cold feet.
iFLY: Looking to feel the rush of skydiving but not sure about the whole jumping out of the plane part? Then look no further than iFLY in Lone Tree. Flying gently on a cushion of air inside a state-of-the-art wind tunnel, you will get all of the adrenaline rush, without all the risk. They offer classes, events and even a Flight School in case your kids also want to get in on the action.
Village Greens North Mountain Bike Trail: Want to take advantage of those nice warm winter Colorado days? Hop on your mountain bike and head over to the skills course at Village Greens North Park in Greenwood Village. The 2.75 mile course offers over 100 obstacles ranging from beginner to black diamond so you can stay on your A-game this winter. Not everyone in the family up for biking? There is also a 1.2 mile walking/biking trail and an 18 hole disc golf course so there is something for everyone.
Ninja Nation: Have you watched American Ninja Warrior and thought to yourself, I could do that? At Ninja Nation in Centennial, you can play, train, or even compete in the art of obstacle courses. For kids and adults alike, you will push yourself physically and have fun showing up your family on the warped wall. Classes and open play will have you feeling like a ninja in no time.
You don’t have to go far to find a little adventure and enjoy one of the many opportunities Denver South has to offer to push yourself to the limit.
