In our last blog post we introduced you to the work of Evan Gatseos, our Transportation Outreach Manager, and how his work is critical in moving the region forward from a transportation perspective. Evan’s work is a critical component of Denver South’s broader goals of making our region a great place to live, work, and play. While you may be familiar with our Transportation team’s work, one thing you may not know is our Transportation team is also our region’s Transportation Management Association (TMA).
The Denver South TMA
As the TMA, Denver South is responsible for implementing Transportation Demand Management (TDM) programs and services in our community. We are a public-private partnership designed to address traffic congestion and air quality problems in communities. Denver South is one of eight TMAs in Colorado.
TMAs are collaborative in nature and reflect the broader spirit of the work we do at Denver South. Denver South convenes regional stakeholders—including local jurisdictions and the business community—to discuss issues and work together to accomplish broad transportation programs and needs.
The Benefits of TDM Strategies
One of Evan’s primary responsibilities is to manage our TDM grants from CDOT and RTD. These grants are critical to meeting our goals of reducing congestion and improving air quality. Evan works with area employers and regional decision makers to encourage commuters to try sustainable alternatives to driving alone. Not only do these projects help us meet our key goals, but they are invaluable to employers looking to recruit and retain top talent.
Research shows employers who offer robust TDM programs not only experience improved workforce recruitment and retention, but also earn measurable benefits in their own environmental, social and governance efforts. Evan’s TDM efforts elevate Denver South as a thriving community where all who live, work or play may flourish.

We are also proud of Evan’s recent election as President of the Rocky Mountain Association for Commuter Transportation (RMACT) Chapter. RMACT is a chapter of the Association for Commuter Transportation, which represents national commuter transportation and TDM professionals and leaders. Leading RMCAT has given Evan the opportunity to work with like-minded individuals and organizations to promote sustainable transportation practices. His work with RMACT has also elevated Denver South by broadening his connections and helping keep our organization, our employers, and area partners plugged into the latest news and transportation developments.
