VIRTUAL DENVER SOUTH PARTNERSHIP MEETING:
INDUSTRY & ACADEMIA COLLABORATION – THE FUTURE OF COLORADO’S FOUR-YEAR UNIVERSITIES

The pandemic has turned so many of our lives—and so many of our assumptions—on their heads. Perhaps nowhere is this truer than in our four-year higher education institutions. Virtual classrooms have taken the place of desks and chairs. Sports teams have remained on the sidelines. Many students have moved closer to home and some have even dropped out altogether. This has not only impacted budgets but also raised real questions about just what the future of higher education could, and should, look like.

This conversation with phenomenal panelists will explore what higher education may look like in the future, how our colleges and universities might engage at a more meaningful level with our industries, and what that collaboration could look like here in the Denver South region.

Our hope is that this event will serve as a starting point for an ongoing conversation with the region’s universities, exploring how to better align them with the fast-changing needs of our business community.

Speaker Lineup:

Dr. Sharon Matusik, Dean, University of Colorado Leeds School of Business

Dr. Ann Murphy, Dean, Metropolitan State University Denver School of Business

Pamela Toney, President, Colorado State University Global
