The Denver South Team
After joining Denver South in the summer of 2024, Owyn promotes the organization’s marketing and brand efforts. She does this through social media, newsletters, and community engagement. Prior to this role, Owyn worked at the University of Denver and Pluralsight to drive engagement for their brands through curated content. Owyn grew up moving around the United States (including Ohio, California, and Massachusetts), but she and her family call Colorado home. You can usually catch her walking her dog or attending Ball Arena for a Colorado Avalanche game.
Alex Cowsky joined the Denver South team in January 2017. As Chief of Staff, she works across the team to ensure there is strong alignment and collaboration, in addition to overseeing the internal operations of the organization. Alex’s background is in nonprofit management; she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a Master of Public Administration degree from CU Denver. Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with her family and friends and hunting down the best places to eat delicious food.
As VP of Transportation & Mobility, Daniel draws from his past experiences in the public, non-profit, and private sectors with focus areas including sustainability, government/NPO innovation, mobility technologies, and transportation demand management (TDM). He is passionate about connecting people with places, information, things, and one another and works to develop next-generation mobility solutions for advancing the Denver Metro Region’s culture of innovation and high quality of life.
Since 2016, Daniel has overseen Denver South’s regional planning, program development, and public-private partnership building strategies and administers the Vision 2035 partnership funding program. Daniel has been quoted in publications such as CityLab and the Denver Post, and various projects and programs under his management have been featured in global publications including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the London Times. He received his Master’s of Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver, after which he went on to develop and manage a multi-year $2MM Bloomberg Philanthropies funded Innovation Team for the City of Centennial, Colorado.
Daniel and his wife spend their free time exploring Colorado and the greater Four Corners Region. His personal passions include riding and wrenching on all things two-wheeled – from motorcycles to e-bikes to plain old bicycles.
Kellie joined Denver South in July of 2024 and is a professional detail coordinator. She handles meeting and event planning as well as administrative duties for the organization. Prior to working with Denver South, Kellie planned corporate meetings in the real estate sector, weddings, and non-profit events. Originally from Virginia, she holds a Master of Strategic Communications degree from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Public Relations degree from Elon University. Outside of work, Kellie enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, hiking, camping, and doing home renovations.
Becky joined Denver South in 2019 with nearly 20 years of experience in state, county, and municipal capacities. She brings extensive knowledge of economic development programming and the regional business climate, with a passion for serving various stakeholders to build communities where we can all live, work, and play.
As Director of Partner Engagement, Becky works closely with our various stakeholder groups on strategic initiatives, placemaking efforts, as well as local and state-level public policy. She received designation as a Certified Economic Developer in 2018 from the International Economic Development Council.
A fifth generation Colorado native, Becky is a graduate of the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
At Denver South, Erin heads up the organization’s branding, marketing, and communications efforts, highlighting the region and its assets. Prior to working with Denver South in 2020, Erin worked in advertising focusing on clients in the travel, tourism, and economic development sectors. Outside of work, Erin is fond of spending time with her husband and son, reading, and traveling.
Quinn joined Denver South in January of 2024. Previous to his current role, Quinn was a Research Analyst at Wood Mackenzie covering Natural Gas markets in the Western United States and Western Canada. As a Transportation Specialist, Quinn researches potential transportation projects, and works with jurisdictional partners on current transportation projects, to support the transportation network throughout the Denver South corridor. In his free time, Quinn loves attending Nuggets games at Ball Arena as well as cooking new dishes. His favorite Nuggets player is Jamal Murray and his favorite dish to make is gumbo.
Chris joined Denver South in 2019 and leads the organization’s business recruitment activities, communicating with companies across the U.S. and the globe to share why Denver South is the ideal location for them to prosper.
With almost 25 years of experience in Colorado’s economic development, public sector and business communities, she brings with her a wealth of knowledge regarding Colorado’s business climate, industry sectors, government programs and trusted partners to get things done. She led the Colorado Cleantech Industry Association as founding executive director, helping to grow the industry with policy, innovation and partnering initiatives while managing the organization’s operations and staff. Previous stints included leadership positions in the Colorado BioScience Association and serving Colorado Governor Bill Owens administration in the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade.
In her free time, Chris enjoys international travel and spending time with her husband, daughter and dog Finley.
Natalie joined Denver South in October 2024 to work with businesses in the region to ease their workforce commute with the goal of reducing congestion and improving air quality. With a background in account management, she is passionate about connecting with people to build relationships and provide resources to drive businesses forward. Originally from Iowa, she loves all the Colorado outdoors have to offer. She enjoys hiking and camping with her partner and two dogs.
Roslyn Vialpando-Miles joined Denver South in November of 2021. She has moved from supporting TMA and Administration & Events to Operations Specialist. In her latest role, she supports the general operations and administrative functions of the company.
Roslyn is no stranger to Denver South. She is a Colorado native with 30 plus years working in the newsrooms of KWGN Channel 2 and KDVR Fox 31. KWGN was located just at I-25 & Orchard Rd until they joined KDVR Fox 31. Roslyn enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and their wire-haired vizsla, Murphy.
Joined Denver South in June of 2024. She spent 15 years in the world of franchising with The UPS Store (owned a large area – selling stores and working as business coach and liaison between the local store owners and the corporate office) and moved to the non-profit world after selling the business. She has done fund- and friend-raising for more than 25 years (in the for profit and non-profit world). Over her career, Julie has raised millions while working in Texas for a community theater and at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Most recently, she worked in the non-profit association world with the Denver Metro Association of Realtors creating relevant content for events, securing speakers and connecting businesses to the Realtor members. In her free time, she loves hiking, gardening, live theater, and exploring new restaurants with family and friends.
David Worley became President/CEO at Denver South in February 2024. He joined the organization as Senior Vice President February 2023. Prior to Denver South, Worley led a variety of business units in higher education; most recently he was the Executive Director of Executive Education at the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver (DU). In that role he contributed to helping address the most pressing learning and development needs of businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies across the region. Prior to working at DU, he directed the enrollment and fundraising units of the Iliff School of Theology. Worley also worked as a consulting civil engineer in New York where he was the lead designer on a variety of land development projects in the north central suburban NYC metroplex.
Worley holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering (South Dakota Mines), a M.A. in Transformational Leadership (Bethel University), and a multi-disciplinary PhD (University of Denver) where he focused on monetary economics, cultural studies, and leadership. He is well regarded for his research and teaching on organizational development and sense making in complex environments.
Worley was raised on a farm in southeastern Colorado. He enjoys the outdoors, tennis, gravel cycling, and spending time with his family and friends.
