This morning at the newly renovated Hilton Denver Inverness, more than 75 business and community leaders gathered to learn about an array of transportation projects impacting our region. The meeting was the first Constructing the Future of Denver South event of 2018 and open to the public.
The morning program featured four speakers who each provided updates and answered questions around their infrastructure projects. First to speak was Tim Stewart, Executive Director of E-470 Public Highway Authority. Stewart walked attendees through recent initiatives and future focus points of the E-470 and Express Toll.
Next up was an update and look at upcoming activities for the C-470 Express Lanes Project from CDOT Engineer Jiovanna Toppi. CDOT’s Chuck Attardo, NEPA Project Manager, spoke about the I-25 South Gap, a project in its early stages.
Rounding out the updates, Andy Mutz, RTD Project Manager for the Southeast Rail Extension, shared details as that project approaches completion.
Throughout the discussion an important dialogue around the effects to the region, one story replayed through the event: Denver South is continuing a proactive approach to building and maintaining efficient and effective infrastructure in the region, ensuring we move forward for years to come. Together, we are constructing the future for the greater community of the Denver South region.
