We are proud of the work Becky Nelson does to help existing businesses in Denver South. Her passion for connecting people and businesses with industry resources shines through in her work to make sure our business community knows how much we value them and how we can assist them.

She makes reaching out, connecting, and building relationships a key part of each day. One of her favorite parts of the job is learning about how companies function, hear their success stories, and what makes them unique. She’s happiest when she can take tours to see “how the sausage is made”.

Becky is a lifelong resident of Denver South and has been involved in Economic Development throughout her career. She has worked at the state, county, and city level in helping companies and employers connect and grow.

Becky knows that Denver South is full of hidden gems and is a great place for her and her family to live.  As a lifelong area resident, her favorite part about working at Denver South is “impacting the region that I live in, grew up in, and continue to enjoy.”

In her free time, Becky enjoys the region with her family; her favorite spots include the many, many parks where they can play soccer, baseball, and softball. She also enjoys hiking the trails in the area, and feels as if she has seen all of them because of all the time her family spends exploring.

We want to leave you with a few final thoughts from our Economic Development team this week. Our services and resources are free to area businesses. Denver South is a publicly funded organization and the work we do to support our existing businesses is available at no charge. They are also guided in part by your responses to our business climate surveys.

On that note, we are so excited to invite you to complete our 2022 Business Climate Survey! This is an opportunity to tell us what matters to you, the business community of Denver South!   By completing this short, 5-minute survey, you help us better understand the climate of our regional economy. The information is also used to inform regional policy decisions and identify programs and services that might best support the success of your business.
