We’re catching up with Erin, our Director of Marketing and Communications. Throughout the summer, she’s been hard at work to enhance and expand the Denver South brand. She has been leading a lot of diverse projects that showcase the area’s distinct narratives through innovative approaches.

Can you give us a snapshot of projects you’ve been working on?

I have had a lot of fun with the expansion of My Denver South. We have built up a strong library of people from all walks of Denver South, including individuals across businesses of various sizes, organizations like libraries, schools, and theaters, and even services like South Metro Water Supply, RTD, and others.

We really hope that as people watch these videos they see themselves as a part of what makes Denver South so special.

What do you want businesses to understand about Denver South?

That we are a community, and we are here for you. Whatever issues your business is facing, you are likely not alone. By engaging with our staff or attending one of our events, we can help plug you in to the right place. We also take joy in your successes and want to celebrate them alongside you. A great way to stay up-to-date with all of the region’s news is to sign up for our newsletter.

What are you excited for professionally?

Continuing to find new and unique ways to get the word out about Denver South. There are so many interesting, innovative people and businesses in the region and it’s my job to help those in and out of the area see the incredible place Denver South is.

If you could ask our blog readers one thing, what would that be?

I would ask them what kind of stories inspire them. We’re always looking for people and businesses to highlight. One of my favorite things to do is share the successes of others. These inspiring and enlightening stories are great ways to share the exciting projects and success going on in the region.

What are you doing for fun this summer?

We moved this summer, so we have a lot of home improvement projects and organizing. I’m not sure how fun it is, but it certainly feels good to check projects off my list! It’s been fun exploring our new neighborhood and finding new favorite places to shop, eat, and play.

Any last thoughts?

My team and I create a lot of content; it’s a fun way to get to know the region. Knowing what resonates with our community members helps us tailor our stories and get the word out. We’re always on the lookout for more so–if you have a story–we’d love to hear and share it.
